Advanced Analyzer Labs, Inc. (AAL) is a Maryland startup company founded by Dr. Huapeng Huang in 2015, located in College Park Mtech TAP building. AAL started with licenses of intellectual properties, analyzer prototypes, and substantial X-ray equipment from a DANAHER company XOS. AAL is combining its creations in X-ray optics and system design with the progress of X-ray sources and detectors to develop the capability of conventional laboratory X-ray systems into low-power, compact X-ray analyzers for in-situ tests in the fields.

Our mission is to develop and commercialize in-situ, online, real-time X-ray analyzers/sensors for advanced manufacturing quality assurance and quality control. The proprietary analyzers can directly provide reliable real-time microstructure information, such as crystalline phase composition, texture, grain size, density, and crystallinity etc. for a broad range of industry and research applications.
